This past week of school has been extremely stressful and unhappy. So to brighten my mood and stop being so stressed and sad, I decided to make a list of the 20 things that make me happy.
1. Doing something nice for someone unexpectedly
This week while I was in the drive through Starbucks line I bought the lady's coffee behind me. I felt so good afterwards and it really made me and the other woman happy.
2. The smell of a bonfire
On those cool winter nights there is nothing better than hanging around a bonfire with some friends. A great way to cheer myself up so to sit around a bonfire and just watch the flames and smell the burning wood.
3. Charlie
Be nice to the people that make you happy! Just because you're having a rough day doesn't mean you should take it out on your loved ones.
4. Uncontrollable laughter that makes your stomach hurt
5. Breakfast foods
Kick start your day the right way. Eating some nommy foods and drinking coffee always makes my day start right!
6. Driving with all the windows down and listening to a favorite song
When I'm having a tough day the best thing is a long drive with the windows down, listening to my favorite songs and just relaxing.
7. My friends and family
I don't know where I would be without these people. Treat the ones you care about with kindness and goodwill. Don't take your stress and frustration out on the ones that are always there for you. Give your friends and family a hug when your stressed!
8. Elephants
I just think elephants are the cutest:) I love to watch Dumbo when Im feeling down.
9. Getting into a freshly made bed with clean sheets
The smell, the feel, the everything! I always think clean sheets help me get over being stressed and sad.
10. The cold side of the pillow
Instead of being sad and stressed over not sleeping. Turn over the pillow and try again. The cold side is always the best side.
11. Sand between my toes
Born 'n Raised with sand in my toes and wind in my hair, I can't help but smile when sand is ticking my toes.
12. The saltiness left on your skin after a day at the beach
I love the dry salty feeling of the beach. Growing up on the lovely Florida beaches has taught me to enjoy the saltiness.
13. Giraffes
I dont know what else to say other than they are adorable and they have super cool necks:)
14. Anything to do with crafting/DIY
Crafting is a fabulous way to relax, have a good time and release stress. Its a passion of mine that I could not imagine not doing.
15. Chocolate goodness of any variety
Ahhhhhh! Just look at that chocolatey goodness! If I'm having a bad day some chocolate will instantly cheer me up!
16. Baking delicious treats
yummmmm! I love baking because the treats are delicious and I enjoy giving them to other people.
17. Fresh cup of tea in the morning
Sip & Be Well! Thats all there is too it! Wake up and feel refreshed with some tea. If I'm feeling stressed throughout the day I just stop what I'm doing for a little and go make myself some tea. It always relaxes me and puts me in a better mood.
18. Big sweaters
Nothing better than getting home from school and throwing on a big sweater and watching some Netflix.
19. The smell after it rains
I love curling up on the couch and reading a book in the rain, but there is nothing better than the smell of the air right after it rains. If someone could make a candle or a perfume of that smell, you would have all my money!
20. Mint green
Anything & everything mint green is my favorite! I love love love this color. On a bad day I just want to wrap myself up in mint green!
Making this list made me feel so much better:) so if you're having a sucky day, think about all the things that make you happy! it will make you feel a lot better, I promise.
